HOW I GOT MY ANXIETY UNDER CONTROL
I’ve got an answer that works. Here’s the story:
In 2013 I hit a wall, for some reason I couldn’t stop crying when on my own, I had an anxious feeling in my throat and chest pains. I had a lot of negative voices in my head and I believed every one of them, it was like a spiral. The thing was I didn’t know why. there were no obvious triggers or stress, no trauma I could link it to. The more I wished it to go away, the worse the feelings got.
The situation came to a head when I was driving home from food shopping with my wife. An emotional song came on the radio and I started full on crying, I had been keeping it a secret for weeks. My wife was amazing, it felt great to tell someone, the burden suddenly felt a bit lighter. I made an appointment to see my GP and started my journey to turn things around.
I started to learn about the mind, and how it works, and what strategies you can use which actually work. Yes, there are medications to help with mental stresses and anxiety but is this the only solution? Can we learn tools and mechanisms to get control and lift the fog? I'm pleased to say that yes- we can.
Let's fast forward 9 years and in 2020 with my anxiety under control, I discovered coaching and qualified as a Personal Performance Coach. I am passionate about working with people to help them set goals, strengthen their mindset and unlock their potential.

I began coaching with James at a turning point in both the professional and personal aspects of my life. I had a lot of goals which were conflicting and making progress was impossible as I was trying to juggle far too many things - I was constantly busy and exhausting myself but wasn’t seeing results!
